GIS Data Expert The candidate will support MODON’s GIS data activities, primarily covering GIS data conversion, cleansing, validation, and quality assurance, with a strong focus on converting utilities and infrastructure as-built drawings/data into structured and topologically valid Enterprise GIS datasets. Mandatory Qualifications – Knockout Criteria. Candidates must meet all of the following requirements: Utilities & Infrastructure As-Builts to GIS: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience specifically in utilities and infrastructure as-built conversion to GIS, including data extraction, conversion, cleansing, validation, and QA/QC. Utilities & Land GIS Expertise: Strong understanding of utilities, infrastructure, and land datasets, including their spatial relationships, topological behaviors, network connectivity, and applicable validation/connectivity rules. Language & Availability: Native Arabic speaker and available to join as soon as possible, given the urgency of the requirement. Hands-on experience with the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem, particularly ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise Geodatabases Please consider the above as strict knockout criteria. The ideal candidate should additionally have: Experience developing and automating ETL/data transformation workflows using Python, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, and/or FME. Experience in designing enterprise geodatabase models, including feature classes, relationships, domains, subtypes, topology, and network-related data structures. Good understanding of different types of satellite imagery, their characteristics and applications, and familiarity with major satellite imagery/data vendors. Contract Duration: Project: MODON GIS Project Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to candidate availability and onboarding. Contract End Date: 10 July 2027, regardless of the actual contract start date. Extension: The engagement may be extended beyond 10 July 2027 upon MODON’s request and subject to project requirements.
